Loveland High School’s PTSA TIGERS Scholarship  (click here for application)

This award will be given annually to an LHS senior, to be used to implement higher education at the accredited university, college, or technical school of their enrollment choice. The amount of this scholarship is $1000.  To be considered for the TIGERS Scholarship applicants must: Submit the completed application to Loveland High School Guidance Office by April 4, 2008 at 2:30pm. A panel consisting of a minimum of three LHS PTSA members will review the applications. The application is available in PDF format.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a minimum GPA of 2.5

  • Submit a letter or statement of recommendation from a teacher, supervisor, etc., (no family members please), explaining how the applicant exemplifies the TIGERS attributes

  • Be a member of the Loveland High School’s PTSA by April 4, 2008 at 2:30 PM (application due date) or sooner. 

  • Educational aims (15%)

  • Essay (75%)

  • Letter of recommendation (10%)


PTSA Linda Rea Myers Scholarship  (click here for application)

The Loveland High School PTSA will once again be awarding the Linda Rea Myers scholarship to a LHS senior.  The scholarship is a non-renewable financial award in the amount of $1000.  All students planning to earn a four-year college degree or a two or four-year vocational/technical degree and are a member of LHS PTSA by 4/5/07 (application due date) are eligible to apply.  Selection will be based upon an essay (50%), GPA (25%), and outside activities (25%).  Deadline – Return to the guidance office by April 4, 2008 at 2:30 PM.  The application is available in PDF format.

2008 Alan R. Brookes  4-Year University Aspiring Teacher Award (click here for app)

The Alan R. Brookes Aspiring Teacher Award is presented to a Loveland High School graduating seniors pursuing a four year college degree in the field of Education.  The $1000 scholarship is a non-renewable award presented by the Loveland Elementary PTA.  Your application, essay, two letters of recommendation and a copy of your official transcript must be returned to the LHS guidance office by April, 10, 2008.

Loveland Elementary PTA  2008 President’s Award for Excellence (click here for app)

The Loveland Elementary PTA President’s Award for Excellence is offering a one year, non-renewable scholarship of $1000 to a 2008 graduating senior pursuing a four year college degree.  Your application, essay, two letters of recommendation and a copy of your official transcript must be returned to the LHS guidance office by April, 10, 2008.

2008 Warren McClellan Scholarship (click here for the application)

The purpose of the Warren McClellan scholarship is to identify a graduating senior who exhibits outstanding quality of character and who has applied that character to acts of kindness, responsibility and service to Loveland Schools and the Loveland Community.  The amount of this scholarship award is $500 and will be applicable for any state accredited learning opportunity.  The scholarship application is due March 17, 2008.

2008 Ronald G. DeWitt Scholarship (click here for the application)

A $500 scholarship is being offered by the Loveland M/INT PTSA and the Student Council of the Loveland Middle School.  The Ronald G. DeWitt Award of Achievement is given annually to a Loveland High School Senior to assist them in achieving their goal of obtaining a four year college degree, or a two or four year vocation/technical degree.  The scholarship application is due March 17, 2008.
